The image of a leader for us is - the one charismatic figure with all the answers. But sitting with many transformative leaders, I’ve found some key traits that are nested in profound set of disciplines. The leaders who first tame their own internal demons are able to create conditions externally for others to flourish. They understand that leadership is not about being the most powerful person in the room, but about creating the most powerful environment for the room.
