Coaching is not a light switch. It’s a sunrise...

Often people expect instant results. "one session should be fine", they say. Is that true?
As a coach I hear all the time - "What are the charge? How long? But we will only talk? You will not give advice? I need you to give me solutions".
I understand - we all want change overnight and we want these easy. But the truth is that the real transformation, one that lasts, takes time. Coaching is a process and the transformation happens in small, messy, weekly increments.
That’s why my Lead with Authority, Lead with Courage and Articulate with Confidence Programmes are built for time, effort, and consistency, but most importantly, slow, steady and lasting transformation. If you are looking for immediate results, I dont offer quick fixes.
Here’s what transformation from my work actually looks like. These are excerpts from a client’s mid‑programme reflection – raw, unpolished, real.
Week 1
“I was completely unaware. Feeling disturbed within myself. Negative thoughts. Tormenting myself by thinking about the same things again and again.”
Week 2
“I became defensive. Trying to clarify everything. But a sense of positivity emerged. I started listening first, responding only afterwards. Also started yoga; something completely out of my comfort zone.”
Week 3
“Another session, I felt a surge of strong positivity. Deep discussions gave me clarity on where I am and where I need to grow. Everything isn’t perfectly resolved yet, but I have undergone a transformation I can now articulate.”
Week 4
“I realized everything is connected to my professional life. Stress levels decreased. I am sleeping well at night. When I posted my work on LinkedIn, mixed responses came, but it inspired me. A sense of excitement is building.”
Week 5
“Inner calmness. Stability. Anger under control. I remain silent where I should be. Communication is improving. I am able to understand the feelings of others. Writing daily is making me even better.”
This is a mid programme reflection by a current client in Lead With Authority Programme. this is what work-in-progress truly looks like. Not flying overnight. But growing one feather at a time, week after week, with reflection, discomfort, and small wins.
Here's a question I ask every coaching client:"Where do you want to be in 5 years, and what's the gap between where you are and where you need to be?"
Many clients can't answer the first part. The gap between now and the goal seem unattainable, and a sense of failure shows up sometimes. Many of us have never been taught how to live life with purpose and intention. We just live on an autopilot mode and only dreaming of what we want to be.
Coaching forces you to stop reacting and start designing. Your career won't design itself. The Coach is your partner. They support to design your goals, challenge your patterns and hold you accountable. They amplify your growth for a lasting transformation.
